Description

Special Topics Course. In this course we will comparatively analyze popular young adult (YA) fiction and film for its historical, artistic, cultural value, expressed values, and concerns related to youth culture. We will explore how these works connect and speak to global, social, and political issues while discussing the core elements of plot, characters, setting, and conflict.
