Description

Communication design - a multidisciplinary and omnipresent art of visualizing ideas - has a complicated history of communication tools, techniques and media that evolved together with shifts in social, political and economic systems. This course investigates diverse languages and technologies of visual communication to help students understand their own role as producers and/or consumers of communication design. The course features examples from the history of communication design that represent the diversity of the medium and its practitioners.
