Description

"Politics, Propaganda, and the Decadence of Rome By the beginning of the 3rd century CE, Rome's dominance reached to England in the north, Africa in the south, and Russia and Iraq in the east. By the late third century CE, however, the Roman Empire became unstable. How was one city able to amass such a vast territory in a relatively short period of time? What were the long-lasting effects of Rome's attempt at world domination? To help answer these questions and others, students will explore the numerous advancements made in architecture, engineering, and art during the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Students will also become familiar with various forms of entertainment and literature that address the social, political, and religious makeup of the Roman world."
