Description

(WI) Writing Intensive

This course will introduce psychology students to the scientific method and the basics of conducting research, including the use of appropriate measures, design, and analyses. Students will learn to use PsychINFO, follow the elements of the American Psychological Association's 6th edition manual of style, and compose a research report. Validity, reliability, descriptive statistics, sampling distributions,ethics, simple measures, probability theory, hypothesis testing, basic inferential statistics, and the foundations of a statistical package will be covered.
