Description

This course offers a comprehensive view of the research and theory pertaining to the developmental tasks of adulthood and the later adult years. The focus is on normal adjustment processes, both biological and psychological, from young adulthood, through mid-life, to the end stages of life. Topics will include biological process of aging, changes in emotional and cognitive functions, relationships, parenting, mid-life crises, life choices as to occupation and retirement, coping and adaption.
