Description

(LI) Literary Inquiry

This course will provide an exploration of some of the most important fictional work by contemporary US Latina writers, including short stories, novels, poetry, and film, with a particular focus on gender advocacy and social justice. We will begin with a discussion of canonical figures like Gloria Anzalda and Cherríe Moraga, to provide a basis for our focus on more recent writers like Angie Cruz, Elizabeth Acevedo, and Carmen Maria Machado, among others. Taught in English.
