Description

This course studies forecasting methods including time series and regressions. It offers individuals and businesses concrete insights on how to improve forecasting accuracy realistically and estimate the uncertainty in the results, while considering its implications to risk. In addition to the theoretical forecasting methods, Machine Learning methods like Neural Networks and Decision Trees will also be covered. This course emphasizes hands-on and experiential learning by encouraging participants to use actual real-world data to predict and estimate the uncertainty of their forecasts using STATA and then interprets their results using visualization tools in the lab.
