EDUC3213 - 01 - Mathematics Methods for Early/Elementary Grades

This course will introduce students to current, research-based practices in the instruction of mathematics for grades Prek-6. Through readings, hands-on activities, observations, students will develop concepts, skills, and pedagogical procedures for teaching mathematics for understanding. Students will become knowledgeable about the Mathematics Common Core Standards for mathematical practice and content. In addition, students will design and present mathematics lessons, as well as explore the integration of manipulatives, technology, and other tools in mathematics teaching.
