CHEM3123 - 01 - Research Methods in Synthesis

In this laboratory-based course, students will learn laboratory techniques common in industry and the academic research laboratory. Students will prepare, purify and characterize a variety of organic and inorganic compounds. The course concludes with each student using the techniques learned to synthesize an organic compound independently after performing literature searches. One hour lecture, four hours laboratory.
